CHANGE- Out of the mud grows the lotus
Change: Out of the Mud Grows the Lotus - 9'X5' I began this piece starting in March 2020, in response to the COVID pandemic, when everything just stopped, and then things changed and changed in unpredictable ways. When I walked into my studio in the mornings, I would see in this mural, the need to change, again and again till at last , within this mural (seen and below the surface), is chaos, hopelessness, birth, gathering, giving, water, mud, crystals, flowers, seeds , dragonflies. 2 weeks before the lightning and fire defined our next change, I added fire to this image and stopped.
